Cynthia Pickett is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Licensed Addictions Counselor (LADC) with a thriving psychotherapy practice in Reno, Nevada. She assists in healing, adolescents, adults and families who are struggling with a variety of mental illnesses and environmental difficulties. She is considered in domestic violence and sexual trauma. Cynthia uses EMDR extensively in her practice to help people heal trauma, anxiety, depression, sleep issues, grief and self esteem issues just to name a few.
Believing that psychotherapists cannot provide viable solutions to clients in areas that they have yet to heal within themselves Cynthia is constantly exploring her own challenges, finding solutions to problems and then teaching them to clients. In addition to her formal and informal education, Cynthia has been gifted with a vision for accurately identifying emotional and behavioral patterns that create problems in individuals lives.
Cynthia’s mission is to facilitate emotional and spiritual healing the world-over by making people aware of common behavioral patterns that actually create personal hardship and by providing simple, easy and effective solutions for life’s daily struggles. When implemented, these solutions are guaranteed to improve everyone’s quality of life. To further her mission, Cynthia is currently writing a book and speaks to groups, sharing with participants how to identify personal patterns that create difficulties and show them, step-by-step, how to implement solutions that will enable them to take charge of their lives allowing them the freedom to routinely make choices that work for rather than work against them.
Beginning spring on 2018, Cynthia became a SCORE business mentor assisting entrepreneurs with setting up private practice or with their real estate ventures.
